Avenged Sevenfold

Is American metalcore band formed in 1999 in Huntington Beach, California, United States. Avenged Sevenfold began with the release of his first great success City of Evil in 2005.

Its members are M. Shadows (lead singer of the band), Zacky Vengeance (rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist), Synyster Gates (lead guitarist and backing vocalist), Johnny Christ (bass and chorus) and Arin Ilejay (drummer, which has been chosen by the band to to finish the tour of their latest album, Nightmare). Formerly the drummer position was occupied by The Rev who was the leader of the band until his untimely death in December 2009. Mike Portnoy (who came just to replace The Rev after his death) took his place until his departure in December 2010.

On July 27, 2010 was released his latest and most recent album Nightmare which debuted at # 1 on the Billboard 200. To date, the group has sold over 5 million records worldwide.
